According to a Lok Sabha reply, 95.99 crore ABHA IDs had been created nationwide by 31 July 2026 under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. A year earlier, in July 2025, the figure was 79.71 crore, with 65.09 crore health records linked.
Why it matters
Wide ABHA coverage makes ABDM integration more valuable for hospitals, labs and health apps. Researchers note that record linking and cross-facility retrieval, not ID creation, will determine the clinical benefit.
